The performance of asphalt pavement is obviously influenced by the environmental temperature.It is a long-term problem to improve the anti-cracking performance and high temperature stability of asphalt pavement.Based on controlling asphalt pavement temperature automatically,researchers applied phase change materials to asphalt and asphalt mixture to improve the adaptability of asphalt pavement to temperature.However,the phase change materials used in asphalt pavement were mostly prepared by porous materials that absorb organic phase change materials,leading to poor effect of temperature controlling because of volatilization and leakage during the using process.The phase change microcapsules prepared in chemical methods have broad application prospect in highway transportation industry with the advantages of good compactness and controllable properties.The research prepares Tetradecane/Melamine Formaldehyde Resin Phase Change Materials(TMFRPCMs)using in-situ polymerization which has the core material of tetradecane and the wall material of melamine formaldehyde resin,the optimum process of TMFRPCMs preparation is tested and analyzed,and the controllable synthesis of phase change microcapsules is realized.Through further test and analysis on the properties of TMFRPCMs which are prepared with optimum process parameters,it is proved that TMFRPCMs has good thermal stability and process stability.TMFRPCMs are added to the asphalt to prepare phase change modified asphalt.Based on the properties of TMFRPCMs,the preparing process of phase change modified asphalt is optimized and the pavement properties of phase change modified asphalt are studied,the experimental results show that the incorporation of TMFRPCMs can improve the low temperature performance of asphalt,but it is not good for high temperature performance and aging resistance,storage stability also decreases,however,the influence is so little that can be ignored.The specific heat capacity of modified asphalt specimens is tested by heat exchange experiment,and the curves of the specific heat capacity of asphalt specimens changing with temperature are calculated in different TMFRPCMs dosages,due to the latent heat effect of TMFRPCMs,the specific heat capacity of asphalt specimens increases obviously in the range of a certain amount of dosage and temperature.Through statistical regression analysis,this paper recommends the double variable parameters equation in which the specific heat capacity is changing with both TMFRPCMs dosage and temperature.
