In our basic establishment construction, airport construction is an important proportion. In recent years, the number of airport construction represents a rapid growth and has a wide distribution especially in west region, which is covered by a large area of mountain topography. In this context, high fill airport project comes forth and the existing challenges and problems have became the research hotspot in the near future. Meanwhile, for some high fill airport project, with low backfill quality, how to adopt the most efficient way to do the foundation treatment is still a difficult problem. Based on a small amount of extant research, we will do some intensive study on this key point. The paper will cut-in this problem, and do some research.With the rapid increasing of the high fill airport project, some research achievement have been done in this area.This paper will start with existence research, sums up the previous work and related theory. goes deep into foundation transformative rule and characteristic, and does judge to some factors which influence high fill foundation sedimentation. On this basis, we take a high fill airport which fill is finished but backfill is of a sort as an example, analyzes destruct matter of one period engineering systematically.and lucubrates chief problem of the second period engineering, According to the actual situation, dynamic compaction test and inspect is progressed under the energy levels of 2000kN?m or 5000kN?m to make sure applicability and correlation parameter in second period engineering field. Aimed at the confronting engineering problem, the paper establishes theory, constitutes corresponding settling measure, and brings forward economic and reasonable foundation scheme of the second engineering. Finally, after confirmation and implementation of the foundation treatment scheme, the foundation dealing effect is estimated by local distortion inspect circs of a certainty time.The research content in the paper is a part of research of high fill airport. The availability pin up depth and the carrying capacity in this backfill are definitude under the energy levels of 2000kN?m or 5000kN?m.
