With the rapid development of waterway transportation and ocean exploitation,the departments which charging for marine traffic safety,are facing more and more pressures.The Unmanned Aerial Vehicle(UAV),as a new kind of automation tools,can provide effective marine salvages when carried out by ships.Compared with traditional methods,UAV has better mobility,faster landing / flying speed,easier operation,vaster cruising range,which provides very fast target searching capability,and an efficient monitoring competency.Therefore,it makes significant meaning to study the usage of UAV for marine traffic emergency task.When applying UAV for the applications of marine rescue work,there are lots of the main tasks,such as automatic target detection,steady communication transportation for location information,and so on.In order to solve these tasks,the project implements the following major work:(1)A target location and recognition algorithm for UAV marine emergency is proposed.We apply deep learning methods to detect objects from sea imagery dataset,and convolutional neural network is designed to handle the multi-dimensional array data,which can efficaciously extract ships,people,and other afloat objects.(2)According to the demand of UAV communication for marine rescue,the functions of Beidou RDSS data transmission are developed.It can be used to solved the information transmission of waterborne operations in extreme case.(3)Based on the above key technologies and the practical application demands of emergency service,a UAV marine traffic safety and emergency system is developed,which accomplishes the abilities of marine targets' auto and manual recognition,remote information transmission,and so on.To sum up,the system has high automation,low maintenance cost,small operating risks,and has been applied in many rescue departments such as Donghai rescue bureau of the ministry of transport.The research achievements of this project have important social and economic benefits,which are valuable to be popularized in the domain of aquatic safety supervision of our country's coastal and inland-river region.The research will enhance our country's capacity to respond for marine traffic emergencies,guaranteeing the marine traffic safety more effectively.
