The application of nonlinear load is increasing fast,thus a large number of harmonic components in the power system is generated and the voltage also severely distorted.The substation is an important part of the power system,which plays an important role in the power collection and distribution.Excessive harmonic component of substation will have a very serious impact on the substation equipment.Paper Huizhou Yong Han 110 kV substation harmonic pollution problem as a starting point the actual production,research substation harmonic suppression measures,to work to solve similar problems.Through the research on the principle of harmonic amplification and suppression,the proper choice of shunt capacitor and series reactor can achieve the purpose of weakening the harmonic.In this paper,the thirteen area map control strategy based on VQC is designed,which can effectively overcome the disadvantage of the repeated oscillation near the nine area map boundary.And the harmonic content of the substation is included in the VQC device to adjust the starting criterion,which can effectively restrain harmonics.Yong Han 110 kV substation is one of key substations in Huizhou power network.The harmonic pollution is serious or not directly affect the normal operation of Huizhou power network.Analyzing the Yong Han substation harmonic data,We found the station has serious harmonic pollution,and the current parallel capacitor configuration is not reasonable,which will lead to the increase of the harmonic current component.With Yong Han 110 kV substation harmonic measurement results,through the rational allocation of series reactor reactance rate,and using a set of VQC device to replace manual adjustment.The harmonic component is effectively restrained.
