It is prerequisite to complete the collection and analysis towards data of many performance parameters of the internal combustion engine with high precision and accuracy,in order to obtain various performance parameters of internal combustion engine,and to improve its performance.The combustion process of internal combustion engines is very complex.It is a synthetically process of physics,chemistry,flow,mass and heat transfer.The situation of the combustion in cylinder directly influences the power,emission performance,fuel economy and so on essential indicators.This paper mainly includes three aspect as follows:First,it gives a brief introduction about software and hardware of combustion condition analysis system.Through cylinder pressure sensor,charge-amplifier,rotary encoder,data acquisition card,computer and so on hardwares,this system amplifies and puts the pressure signal into a computer,writing a program of in-cylinder pressure in the use of Lab VIEW software,and accurately collects pressure signals to make the researching on the in-cylinder pressure situation much more directly and expediently.Meanwhile,it also achieves to extend the function of thrust stand..Second,the quasi-dimensional model of combustion in the cylinder and availability analytical model based on second law of thermodynamics were built up.By using the C language,the program of availability analysis was compiled,and then the simulation result was analyzed by using it.The main research issue is about the impact that the initial energy configuration(initial temperature and initial pressure)have exerted on availability transfer and irreversible availability.The study result has demonstrated that appropriate increase on the initial pressure and temperature are both conductive to improve the efficiency of using availability,and to reduce the irreversibility in the process of combustion.Finally,using the GT-POWER simulation to set up model of the four cylinder engine,proper parameter was set to analog the combustion process of spark ignition engine.According to analogue result,the influences,which different mix of ethanol exert on the combustion process,can be analyzed.The analysis shows that ethanol proportion increased the in-cylinder(highest)pressure and pressure rise rate reduced,the in-cylinder temperature dropped;the average efficient indicated pressure decreased;CA50 time delayed and became closer to the top dead center;indicated thermal efficiency and indicated fuel consumption rate are both increased.
