In the new energy vehicle power system development process, bench test for power system and components can obtain the performance parameters of components, verify components reliability, and evaluate the vehicle dynamic performance, fuel economy and emissions performance, which is a valid mean to reduce costs and improve developing efficiency. In order to meet the needs of new energy vehicles on test-bench system,a new test-bench controller is designed and applied to build test –bench system for different power system configurations in this paper.RLS(road load simulation)algorithmapplied in test-bench controller is researched.Compared with inverse model tracking method, forward model tracking method has better performance in RLS algorithm. The influencing factors of RLS algorithm accuracy and corresponding solutions are put forward after analysis. To verify the RLS algorithm accuracy,a simulation platformincluding drive motor model, load motor model, driver model and road load model is built in Matlab/Simulink.Results indict that the accuracy of RLS algorithm meets requirement and the RLS algorithm can be used in test-bench system.A new test-bench controller is developed and tested in HIL(Hardware-In-the-Loop)platform.The hardware is design based on PC104 bus or PXI bus and the software including RLS model and driver model is developed in LabVIEW RT.In order to test the new controller,a HIL platform is built based on PXI system and Veristand. Results indict that the controller's hardware and software of meet requirement and can be used in test-bench system. The test-bench controller tested in HIL platform is applied to build test–bench system for different power system configurations.A single-axis parallel HEV(hybrid electric vehicle)test bench system that uses a motor to simulate engine is built based on dual load motor. An AWD(all wheel drive)HEV test bench system that can simulate two-speed final drive is built based on ABB motor and frequency converter.Allthe control algorithm including RLS,driver simulation, engine simulation,two-speed final drive simulation, coordination control for dual load motors, coordination control for three load motors is tested in test bench. Results indict that all control algorithm realizes expected function and the test-bench controller meets the requirement for new energy vehicles.
