The comprehensive road condition of light truck is complicated.The fuel tank volume is large,in the running process,oil liquid sloshing impact on the structure of fuel tank.It is easy to produce leakage,fatigue damage in bad conditions.At present,in the design of truck fuel tank,the structure design of the fuel tank mainly depends on the experience.This has contributed to the lack of improvement measures to the arrangement of the reinforce ribs,the setting of the tank wall thickness,and the structure design of the wave preventer.Therefore,it is necessary to improve the structures of the fuel tank and verify the advantages and disadvantages of the structures by finite element analysis.In this paper,based on the analysis of the structure of a certain truck fuel tank,two kinds of improvement schemes were put forward.In order to compare the advantages and disadvantages of the two improvement schemes to the original scheme,a series of finite element analysis of three kinds of fuel tank structures were carried out.First of all,the Modal module in ANSYS Workbench was used to make the modal analysis of three fuel tanks to find out the most easily damaged part of the three kinds of fuel tanks.It was also provided the research direction for fluid solid coupling analysis;Secondly,by using the Fluent module in ANSYS Workbench to analysis fluid solid coupling of three kinds of fuel tank structure under the same condition.The stress and deformation of the corresponding parts of the three structures were compared,and used as the basis to judge the advantages and disadvantages for the three kinds of fuel tanks;Then,on the basis of modal analysis,the Random Vibration module was used in ANSYS Workbench to analysis random vibration of three structures at 2g,4g and 6g Acceleration.The stress of the corresponding parts of the three structures were compared,and used as the other basis to judge the advantages and disadvantages for the three kinds of fuel tanks;Finally,the random vibration tests of three kinds of fuel tank structure were carried out,so that can verify the reliability of the tests and finite element analysis.According to the analysis of the content of this paper and considering the difficulty of the actual production and processing,the cooperative enterprise chose the improvement of scheme one to replace the original fuel tank.
