Adaptable Design Of City Express Car Carriage For Mass Customization

As the main means of contact between the courier company and the recipient,the city express car plays an important role in the express delivery.At present,the courier vehicles are not developed,there is no difference between ordinary freight cars,some of them are refitted vehicles,there are still a lot of unreasonable in the distribution process,for example,the recipient might have to spend a lot of time to find their own express on the ground,missing parcels and broken parcels are not rare,mail delivery efficiency is slow,and it may take long time.With the rapid development of information technology and industrial manufacturing technology,and the transition of global market,from relatively closed to opening gradually,the manufactures of express vehicles are trying to increase their market share by changing the competitive environment.City express car is gradually adopting mass customized production,converting it’s production mode to BTO(make to order)from BTF(build to forecast).The city express car spares no efforts to reduce it’s cost while trying to improve production quality,meet the various and customized requirements of the customers.This paper puts forward the idea of adaptable design of mass customized city oriented express car carriage,which aims to meet the increasingly personalized needs of the customers,so as to enhance the adaptability of city express car as much as possible,meanwhile,guarantee the quality of the vehicles,to bring more economic profits to the enterprises.The main contents of this paper are as follows:(1)Research on mass customization and adaptable design.It mainly includes: overview of city express car’s background;statement of related concepts and the research status of mass customization;discussion of the adaptable design concepts and its research status;analysis of the adaptable design technology and its research status and the interrelation among modular platform,parametric platform and adaptable platform.At last,the feasibility of adaptable platform applied to city express car development has been verified.(2)Based on the elaboration of the related technologies of adaptable design,this paper analyzed the market demand for city express cars,determined the type of chassis platform for city express car,further discussed the adaptability by analyzing the main structure and parts structure of city express car carriage.(3)This paper analyzed customer’s needs by introducing the kano model at the beginning of city express car carriage design,then illustrated the modular design and parametric design of the express car,which includes the decomposition of the city express car parts and parametric modeling,combined with the platform technology,applying parametric design,modular development technology to product platform,in order to cater the customer needs which changes from time to time,as a result,to enhance the adaptability of city express car.(4)The construction of city express car carriage adaptable design platform.First,the author illustrated the purpose of constructing the adaptable platform and reasonably devised the process of the adaptable platform design,and then selected the tools and key technologies for platform development.At last,the author constructed the corresponding platform according to the classification module function decomposition,converted customer needs into design parameters,and then a series of work can be done on this platform,such as component structure design,size measurement,model preservation,etc.
