The Study Of Architecture Detail Form In The Old Blocks

Details cannot be separated from an architecture.And the spirit of architecture just lies in the inner meaning of regions,history and culture in architectural details.It can be found out from the history of architecture,that the contemporary architecture originates from the modern architecture,and the modern architecture was born from the ancient architectures.Such kind of mutual-interdependence relationship also provides the basic rules when it comes to the architectural details.The spatial pattern of the city development becomes sharper and sharper due to the recession of old blocks and the development of new town and finally goes to chaos.The Chinese traditional space composition,which is represented by yards and streets,is fading,and the architectural detail pattern in old blocks is close to collapse.Out city are losing its own history,along with our remembrance.This research aims to investigate the architectural details in Dongguan Street,Dalian,in terms of pragmatic function and ornamental function,and compare them with the ones of Liyuan Historical Block in Sifang Street,Qingdao.According to the developing and changing process of Chinese and western architectures from the ancient times to the modern and contemporary times,the nature and changing behaviors of the modern architectural details were analyzed based on the inner cultural meaning and the external characteristics of traditional Chinese architectures.A series of field survey and case study have been done in order to thoroughly present the external characteristics of the architectural details of the modern blocks in Dalian.The underlying laws of the treatment of architectural details in old modern blocks have been explored.In the same time,the vocabulary about the architectural details in old modern blocks has been enlarged,and the research on the architectural details in old modern blocks has been completed to a certain degree,so as to provide the knowledge about the architectural details in old modern blocks for further study.
