Detail is a comparative conception.It can be a real unit component,also can be partial space or interface.All details can be separated into two type,one is tectonic detail,the other is decorative detail.To combine these two respects is the recreation of space and it's effect.Architectural design is a process that from the whole to the part again arrive the detail continuously fathomses with gradually perfect. Architectural detail is the important part of the whole building, detail design is a absolutely necessarily part of the design processes.Architectural detail is a part of the monolithic designs. Monolithic design is surely important,and the design of part, detail also equally allowed no to neglect. It's great importance lies in decisive function for enforcing the especial architectural environment atmosphere,more than lies in practicability of construction.The most buildings in the world that we live and work, are all built in 20 century .these buildings are different from the traditional buildings, and have themselves special feature, we live in a modern architecture environment.The modern architecture affects on the earth and almost whichever nations, in the world the life style of the great majority person, affect mankind of exchanges, work, life with amuse the way, and affect the attitude of mankind of worth , the attitude of esthetics, the manner of thought.The purpose is to discuss the regular things in architectural detail design, and summarize some frondose design ployes, in order to guide design fulfillment.This thesis illuminates the concept,intension and extension of architectural detail.
