Cryogenic supply system is the power source of the cryogenic testing system.Cryogenic tank with a large volume plays a central role in the supply system,which has many of the key technologies needed to study and solve and implement engineering applications.Studies on cryogenic tank with safety and quality insurances have important practical significances for aerospace engine development.This paper introduced the domestic and international research status of cryogenic fuel tank technologies on hydrogen rocket engine and the latest developments in this regard.While the aerospace engine testing cryogenic propellant feed system,thermal insulation,support structure,safety relief and manufacturing techniques on the cryogenic tank were reviewed.Secondly,the paper discussed the design of a 80m3 liquid hydrogen tank.According to the working parameters,the structure size,insulation forms,process piping,safety accessories were determined in accordance with the relevant national regulations and standards.Intensity of the vessels was checked by SW6,to ensure safe storage,reliable performance,and structural optimization.Then,finite element stress analyses on a calibration tank were presented in this paper.The stress states of the internal vessel's lower head,internal legs,and anchor bolts in five conditions were analyzed,the locations of maximum stress were pointed out,and recommendations were given to improve the security.Finally,heat loss,insulation thickness and surface temperature were described for the insulated design.Heat leakage of the head,cylinder,filling pipe,discharge pipe,pressurized pipe and internal legs of the 80m3 liquid hydrogen tank were given.And the conclusion that liquid hydrogen daily evaporation rate of 0.76% was obtained.The paper has important application value,and conclusions of this paper will be applied and tested in new generation of high-thrust rocket engine,lunar exploration,and lunar landing program.Moreover,with the development and application of low-temperature technology,the results of this paper will get widely used in national economy.
