Energy saving,green and environmental protection have gradually become the development trend of contemporary society.In particular,in the winter of 2016,a wide range of the country affected by the haze,so that people realize that energy conservation is imminent.Construction machinery as an essential tool in national economic construction has caused great harm to the environment.Therefore,the development of high efficiency and energy saving drive as an effective way to achieve energy saving and emission reduction of construction machinery has become a major research direction.This paper proposed a new kind of plunger hydrostatic torque converter,which is based on the plunger type hydrostatic coupler device.This converter consists of swash plate rotary piston pump unit and constant pressure variable motor.The pump and motor share a rotor,and the power output shaft is connected with the rotor.When the external load capacity is low,the power was transmitted only by plunger pump.When the external load reaches the set value,the power was transmitted by swash plate rotating piston pump unit and variable motor together.Compared with the traditional hydraulic torque converter,plunger type hydrostatic torque converter has the advantages of high efficiency,wide range of matching,and compared with hydrostatic transmission,plunger type hydrostatic torque converter has the advantages of greater power to weight ratio and transmission efficiency is higher.In order to meet the requirements of design function and compact the structure of the torque converter,this paper adopts the combination of theoretical calculation and computer simulation.Firstly,the kinematics and dynamics of the core components of the torque converter are analyzed,and the relationship between the plunger velocity,the acceleration and the motor regulation parameters is deduced.The force of the pump and the motor plunger is analyzed by MATLAB software,and draw the curve of the change curve with the rotor rotation,and found that the pump plunger and motor plunger is the front end of the plunger force than the poor.Besides,we also found that when the plunger is in the lower dead point force between piston and cylinder reaches the maximum value;the torque converter in the plunger hydraulic coupling and torque respectively in the state of stat.The relationship between the radius of the axial bearing and the installation position of the radial bearing,the displacement of the flow combine plate offset is deduced,based on the analysis of the rotor's force.Then,the PV value of the plunger pair and slipper pair of the pump and motor are calculated,and the plunger strength is checked by MATLAB software.The study found that the worst position of the plunger wear is not in the upper and lower dead center position,but turned a certain angle,and the front end of the plunger is more prone to wear.It is determined the initial valve plate sealing belt,fault angle,triangular groove bottom edges and other parameters and valve spring parameters and the basic parameters by the design formula according to the flow valve plate.Finally,in order to verify the feasibility of converter principle of variable plunger type hydrostatic pressure,valve rotation of the swash plate piston pump model and distributor piston motor model was established by the AMESIM software,the pump and motor is simulated.The force curve of the pump and motor plunger is showed.The torque converter's 3D model was established using Solidworks and the dynamic model was set up using ADAMS,after the size of the converter's components were determined.The movement curve of the plunger and the input and output torque characteristic curves at different inclination of the swash plate were obtained when analyzed the torque converter in the same input speed and different angle of the swash plate.The results showed that the converter design can meet the design requirements.Plunger type hydraulic torque converter conforms to the trend of the development of hydraulic technology,which can be used in the hybrid power system and has good prospects for development.
