In the calculation of the classical earth pressure,the soil is assumed to be a semi-infinite soil.With the tremendous development of engineering construction,the building density is increasing,and the study of finite soil is of great significance.The research on active earth pressure of finite soil is one of the most important directions,which has high value and wide development prospect in engineering practice.First of all,based on the rigid retaining wall soil as the research object,introduced the application of the classical earth pressure theory calculation in the semi-infinite soil pressure,the Coulomb and Rankine earth pressure theory is analyzed in detail.This paper introduced the application of the limit equilibrium theory,the horizontal thin layer method and the soil arching theory in the calculation of the finite soil pressure,and analyzed the advantages and disadvantages of the three methods.Secondly,through the analysis of stress,considering soil cohesion and the width of the retaining wall,combined with spatial earth pressure proposed by W.C.GUand introduced the soil arching effect into the model,balanced equations of sliding soil,the general situation of the retaining wall space active earth pressure calculation formula was derived on the retaining wall width the parameters of soil mechanics and finite soil between active earth pressure and the angle of shear failure,and gave the calculation method of active earth pressure in special cases.Finally,on the basis of the classical earth pressure theories,considered the limited soil on both sides of all excavation and foundation pit excavation,one side near the existing building,combined with the foundation bearing capacity failure model in uniaxial and biaxial failure mode,ultimate bearing force in Meyerhof based on the theory of finite calculation model of active earth pressure the soil,calculation formula of active earth pressure for limited soils is derived under the influence of the bearing capacity of the foundation.The method of calculating the dip angle of the sliding surface is obtained by the formula,and then the active earth pressure is solved by the method of horizontal thin layer.
