With the development of our country's economic & society,the high speed railway becomes the emphasis of railway construction,the framework of high speed railway net is "eight vertical eight horizontal" will be constructed and put into operation.To insure the safety of high speed railway's construction & operation,problems of corresponding engineering technology must be solved at first.To fit the demand of rapid &safety operation of the high speed railway,on the basis of safety of railway subgrade must strictly control the settlement and the quality of filling & compaction of subgrade,the type of subgrade's filling material should be seriously selected.The subsoil of railway subgrade need be treated to fit the demand of technical requirements.For the huge quantity of subgrade filling work,the problem of lack of filling material which fit the high speed railway demand can be solved by technique of soil improvement.Design methods can't apparently calculate the accurate value of subgrade's settlement,etc.The monitoring scheme should be adopted in construction process to observe the settlement and other data of subgrade.By set test section of roadbed to decide the properties of improved filling material,construction technology and quality test methods.The paper based on actual engineering project,performs the study on high speed railway subgrade's design & construction work at the condition of soft subsoil and adopted improved filling material.
