Static synchronous compensator(STATCOM)and other dynamic reactive power compensation equipment are widely used in reactive power compensation of modern power system due to theirs rapid response and continuous regulation.But these devices are composed of high-power and fast-off power electronic devices which are costly.So how to properly configure the installation address and compensation capacity with a certain investment to maximize the benefits is a hot problem of modern reactive power compensation planning.Firstly,this thesis introduces the existing methods of the allocation of dynamic reactive power compensation equipment.The shortcomings of this methods are analyzed,including only considering steady-state operation without transient operation and Capacity configuration and location selection decoupling.According to the actual engineering situation,this thesis constructs the model of allocation of STATCOM address and capacity.It establishes different optimization goals with a certain investment and proposes the various equations and inequality constraints of the planning problem for different operating conditions.The thesis puts forward an optimization configuration method of STATCOM based on network Voronoi diagrams.This method repeats two processes of partitioning and site selection,and then outputs the optimization scheme according to certain convergence criterion.The partition of the power system network is mapped to the network Voronoi diagrams in this method.The reactive power compensation capacity of every area should be determined by the principle of reactive power balance.The way of site selection is to calculate the trajectory sensitivity index of any points in the same area,and then select the points which has the biggest trajectory sensitivity index as the new compensation point.The thesis finally realizes the proposed optimization configuration method with using the MATPOWER and PSAT in the MATLAB platform,and validates the effectiveness,versatility and superiority of the method in IEEE-14 bus system and IEEE-39 bus system.The method of dynamic reactive power compensation equipment configuration proposed in this thesis can maximize the benefits of power system operation,which will provide scientific support for the decision of power system planning workers.
