Structural Optimization And Research Of Three Piece Hard Seal Ball Valve Based On Finite Element Analysis

The ball valve is the control device of fluid pipeline.The ball valve has the advantages of simple structure,good sealing,the same valve nominal size,small ball accounted for less,lighter weight and material consumption,so the ball valve is widely used in aerospace,petroleum chemical industry,light industry,food industry and building power plants.Especially in the western developed countries,the use of a wider range of ball valve,its reliability and other performance indicators have reached a high level,the type and number of ball valves continue to expand.Ball valve in high temperature,high pressure,large diameter,high sealing and other aspects of the great development.With the development of metal materials and technological progress,the service life of the valve greatly improved.At present,the western countries are facing the ball valve and the valve to adjust the performance of a good direction.At present,three-piece fixed ball valve in the use of the process,often appear stem fatigue wear,sealing failure,the ball valve opening and closing torque is too large and so on.In order to explore the reason of the stem failure,reduce the opening and closing torque of the ball valve and improve the sealing performance of the ball valve.In this paper,the three-piece hard seal and hard seal fixed ball valve produced by an internship enterprise is taken as the research object,and the structural characteristics and sealing principle of the ball valve Based on the finite element method,the three-dimensional model and the assembly model of the three-piece hard seal fixed ball valve are established by using the Solid Works software.The stress analysis of the contact between the sphere and the stem is carried out by ANSYS finite element software.Hard seal ball valve opening and closing device to optimize and reduce the ball valve stem and the ball contact stress;selected a metal hard seal fixed ball valve opening and closing device for sealing performance analysis and optimization.Through the research of this subject,it is of great practical significance to improve the performance of the ball valve,develop new products and expand the market.
