Evolution Of The Space Form Of Traditional Residential Buildings In Guanzhong Area

This paper analyzes the natural environment and living environment of Jinghe river basin from the historical and cultural background of Guanzhong through the summary and analysis of the human settlements and social environment in Guanzhong area.The author set out to the settlement living environment of the lower reaches of the Jinghe River,and makes a brief introduction to the traditional settlement types and settlement spaces,such as Jingyang County,Sanyuan County and Xunyi County,which are typical of the areas.The author start this project from historical development of this river,which provides theoretical prerequisite for the development of traditional residential buildings.Regarding traditional buildings of the late Qing Dynasty as residential prototype,the author divides traditional houses into kiln house and courtyard whose traditional residential buildings are divided into independent and modular;Because of the impact of the geographical environment,kiln-style traditional residential buildings are divided into four types,which are cliff kiln,Ming Gu kiln and pit courtyard and the kiln mixed dwelling front chamber back kiln.Adopting investigation,contrast and comparison etc,the paper analyzes the current situation of the traditional residential buildings and the causes “hollow village”,and then through the analysis of the causes of the phenomenon of the traditional houses and modern houses,The layout of the building entrance space,the layout of the plane,the layout of the function and the form of the structure,and finally found the evolution of the spatial form of the prototype river in the lower reaches of the Jinghe River.
