The loess has obvious structural,this structure has obvious control effect on the mechanical properties,how to build a physical model of loess,the structure and mechanical properties of loess as similar as possible,but also in the process of modeling the stress and strain monitoring sensor installed in the model,is a bottleneck problem at present,experimental study of loess geological disasters in the physical model,the core technology is the problem of reconstruction of loess.This paper takes Shaanxi Jingyang plateau edge Ma Lan loess as the research object,the origin and evolution of loess formation based on the invention of a new suitable for indoor physical model test of model making method,at the same time,through a variety of static tests on the undisturbed soil,and artificial preparation of structural loess structural factors and characteristics.By observing the change of microstructure in the process of loess structure rebuilding,the key reason of the structural property of loess is discussed.First of all,on the basis of the collection,inspection and sorting a large number of Chinese and foreign literature,based on the origin and evolution of loess structure,puts forward an effective method of making the indoor physical simulation of loess,have made eight different types of artificial structural loess,the undisturbed soil,artificial structural loess have unconfined compressive strength test,unconfined compression test,direct shear test,unconsolidated undrained test,studied the structure characteristics of various types of soil.The results show that both the undisturbed loess and the artificial structural loess have structural properties.Among them,the mechanical parameters and the variation law of the structural loess produced by the method of production 6 are most similar.Secondly,the microstructure characteristics of various kinds of soil samples are compared by SEM.The results show that the soil size and soil particle shape and particle connection mode of the soil produced by the method 6 are similar to those of the undisturbed soil,especially the apparent pore area ratio is very close to the undisturbed loess.Finally,combined with the analysis of causes of loess,draw the conclusion of loess about the essence of special structure: Think of soil particle shape,size,surface characteristics,arrangement of state space,and intergranular cement form determines the structural strength of loess.
