The air flow sensor is an important part of the engine electronic control fuel injection system, its performance affects dynamic property, economical efficiency and emission performances of the engine directly. In the various types of air flow sensor, the thermal air flow sensor is widely used in the automobile, because it can directly measure the amount of air mass flow without correction.Currently the thermal air flow sensors on the market mainly rely on imports and the price is relatively high.In order to solve this problem, this paper develops a kind of intelligent air flow sensor with high precision and low cost.First of all, this paper expounds the function of the air flow sensor, and briefly introduces the different types of air flow sensor working principle.By comparing various types of air flow sensors, the advantages of the thermal air flow sensor are explained.Secondly, the heat transfer and measurement control circuit of the thermal air flow sensor are analyzed in detailThen, based on the measurement principle of the hot air flow sensor,an intelligent air flow sensor based on ZSC31010 chip is designed and developed. This sensor can calibrate the sensor output signal to make it conform to the standard sensor characteristic curve by the method of software calibration. At the same time,it can also realize the temperature compensation of the sensor by software,so that the output signal does not change with the ambient temperature. Finally, the intelligent air flow sensor is calibrated on the test bench, and the performance of the calibrated sensor is tested. The experimental results show that the intelligent air flow sensor based on ZSC31010 chip can meet the use requirements.
