Color perception is an important content of interface design research field. There has been many years on the study of interface color design, whether in color psychological meaning or cognitive performance, the research results are the designers use color involved in the effective guidance. There is less research on the effect of the factor of area and distance on visual conception.Colour for capture people's attention is a priority level, but the most important issue is the effect of color area and the distance between elements changes its priority.First, both hierarchical visual conception and attentional capture regarding to visual search have been explained,in a detailed way, based on the theory of colour coding and color perception of the cognitive characteristics, factors affecting capture attention can be divided into three types:color, location factors and memory. Then, pick color that under the same hierarchical visual conception, for area and distance experiments through the E-prime behavior experiment, the reaction time and accuracy analysis area and distance from the influence of factors on the color significance:when the colour difference is bigger, area factors affect attention to capture;when the color difference is small, distance factors affect attention capture. Finally the specific research results are discussed. This work could be a basis for the further study of color conception, attentional capture, and cognitive performance even more to interface design.
