With the rapid development of social economy,people are raising their requirements towards the quality of life.The use of hot water in our lives,which is an important symbol of high quality life,is being applied widely by several social communiiies,coiieges and universities inclucded.The use of hot water in coiieges can not only make students live more comfortably,but also inspire them to work hard to a certain extent.However,with the system of hot water used,it is also begin to be evident that more energy was consumed and more water was wasted.The rational design of the hot water system will play an important role in the resource and energy conservation,which depends firstly on the full understanding and further study towards the ways of hot water consumption.In this paper,the hot water system of a university in Changsha is taken as an example to study the behavior characteristics of college students' living hot water consumption and establish the corresponding simulation model.This paper is divided into four aspects:First of all,the author extracts the data of the hot water consumption in one year from a mixed dormitory of male and female students by cooperating with the information management system of this university in Changsha.The author prepares the initial data by MATLAB programming and the water consumption data less than one year,and data on winter and summer holidays and failure days are removed.Secondly,this paper analyzes the revised data by programming and came to some obvious conclusions,such as the distribution of daily water consumption,the distribution of users proportion,the distribution of times of water consumption based on active users,and the distribution of water consumption based on active users.This paper also classified the user groups into three types according to the times and amount of water consumption average time of each user.Thirdly,this paper further analyzes the three main parameters which determines the three types of users:water consumption per day,water arrival time and average water consumption,and the corresponding distribution and specific parameters are also presented in this paper.At the same time,in order to reflect the user's water habits more accurately,this paper analyzes the full-day consumption of users according to the different period:the day(06-18:00)and night(18:00-the next day 06:00).Finally,based on the above three parameters of the mathematical model,this paper establishes a simulation model of living hot water from college students by using the Monte Carlo method.This paper simulates the hot water use data of the single type user group and the multi-user group in the specific time period,and compares the simulation results with the actual water use data to verify the rationality of the model.The conclusion about water consumption and the simulation model from this paper can provide some reference and guidance for the desigin and optimization of hot water system in colleges and universities,which is beneficial to the work of energy conservation in colleges and universities.
