In Chinese rural distribution network,the guarantee of power quality and reduction in power distribution loss,not only is the important issue for the power sector to reduce electricity costs and increase the supply,but also is the urgent requirement of ensuring economic development and improving people's living level.At present,the existing reactive power compensation methods can effectively reduce loss and improve line voltagestability,which generally adopted in the distribution network include substation centralized compensation and local compensation on the low voltage side of distribution transformer.However,the problems of long reactive power conveying distances and long line loss which exist in substation centralized compensation,the problems of high overall cost,low capacitor utilization rate,and easily damaged and difficult to manage for the equipment which exist in local compensation on the low voltage side of distribution transformer,and so on,which restrict the further enhancement of power factor of the distribution network line.Rural distribution network line is generally very long.Its line diameter is small.And the high loss caused by low voltage at the end of the line problem is very serious.The above situation has directly affected the development of rural economy and the improvement of peasants' life.Therefore,the improvement in power factor of distribution line can not only reduce the line loss,but also greatly improve the voltage at the end of the line.Taking into account the overall cost of the project,the maintenance of the operation and the practical effect,etc.,this paper adopts the method of increasing the power factor of the line and improving the terminal voltage by adding reactive compensation device to the 10kV line of agricultural network,and selected Nanning Power Supply Bureau's 35kV peak substation lOkV fixed issue 905 line as a pilot,which is such a typical rural power lines,and then implements and verifies the practicability of the method.The paper focuses on the application study of reactive compensation for power distribution 10kV long line.The main contents are as follows:(1)A reactive power compensation model for network lOkV line is proposed.Firstly it analyzed the role of reactive power in power system and the line losses of distribution network in theory,and established the reactive power compensation model,which have provided the theoretical foundation for the next step of work.(2)The reactive power compensation management system is built and the components of the system are analyzed.This paper introduces the basic concept and basic functions of reactive power compensation management system,including its technical route,principle and applicable conditions,which lays the foundation of software and hardware for specific project implementation.(3)The pilot application was carried out on the 905 line of lOkV of the 35kV peak substation in Nanning Power Supply Bureau.The present situation is analyzed,and then the capacity and mode of the equipment installation position and the reactive power compensation are determined by the calculation of the reactive power compensation capacity.After completing the construction of the whole system,the operation of the line after the operation of the equipment was studied,the results were analyzed and the economic benefits were calculated.
