Research On Renewal Of Old City Public Space Based On Landscape Infrastructure

With the continuous development and renewal of cities,many old cities have problems in infrastructure,including traffic congestion,environmental pollution,urban water logging,river pollution,and lack of public space.If we only rely on the traditional urban infrastructure,it always accompanied by other problems.Therefore,changing this single function and goal of the solutions,taking natural ecology,urban environment,social benefits,cultural heritage and other aspects in consideration is particularly necessary.Based on landscape infrastructure,this paper analyzes and contrasts a series of related theories,such as green infrastructure and ecological infrastructure,takes its concept,research progress and key characteristics as theoretical basis,and combines the public space situation of the waterfront space,street and community space,traffic public space and urban boundary space in Suzhou,and then put forward strategy at the level of frame work.Then choose the northwest corner-Taohuawu community as an example.Do further research in river,traffic,streets,buildings,culture and green open space in this community.This paper provides a solution to the problems in the public space by using the multi-dimensional integration,multi-functional coordination,flexibility and adaptability.In this paper,the author makes some attempts to apply landscape infrastructure in the renewal of public space in old city,hoping to provide some reference for the renewal construction of it.
