Under the excitation of large wind,the wind-induced response of high-rise buildings may be obvious.When the wind-induced vibration is sharp,people in the buildings will feel uncomfortable,tense and even panic.In this paper,the equivalent static wind load and comfort of high-rise buildings are studied using finite element simulation and wind tunnel test with the background of a high-rise building in Changsha.Main contents and results are stated as follows:At first,wind comfort standards of different countries and regions are briefly introduced to compare with that in China.Research shows that the difference of comfort standard in different countries and regions can be reflected from load recurring period,indicator types,limit and whether the standard is related to frequency and a lower load recurring period is reasonable,so the load recurring period of once a year is suggested in the evaluation standard of wind vibration comfort inChina,which makes the limit of standard looser.Then,an rigid model pressure measurement experiment with an 1:350 scale structure model is conducted.The random vibration theory,calculation methods of equivalent static wind load and wind-induced response are introduced.Wind-induced responses of the structure with different load recurring periods including response of the base,amplitude accelerator and equivalent static wind load are calculated using finite element method based on the wind pressure time-histories data from the wind tunnel experiment.The comfort of the high-rise building in Changsha is evaluated with the accelerator response calculated from the experimental data and the numerical results based on the variables of damping ratio and load recurring period.Finally,some factors affecting the wind vibration comfort of high-rise buildings are analyzed combined with the study conclusions of scholars at home and abroad.The main factors include vibration accelerator,vibration proceeding time related to the accelerator,vibration frequency,wind load recurring period corresponding to the vibration amplitude accelerator and damping ratio.While the secondary factors include the people's circumstance,gesture,age,gender and the bearing ability under the vibration of structures.Some suggestion is provided to the modification of the standard of Technical specification for concrete structures of tall building in our country.
