The goal is to analyze and predict the electromagnetic compatibility of warship communication devices during the design stage of the devices' functional parameters,to provide an effective and high-operability optimization solution of electromagnetic compatibility parameters that meet established requirements for inter-system compatibility.This is achieved by intensely analyzing and solving the following problems:-Firstly,a method is proposed to calculate the magnitude of power of electromagnetic interference received by sensitive devices from the jamming devices.Numerical algorithm cannot be adopted where heuristic intelligence algorithm with randomness is applied to optimize electromagnetic compatibility,the Friis equation under non-ideal conditions is used to calculate the power of electromagnetic interference.Meanwhile,functions involved in the Friis equation are mathematically modelled.Secondly,a method is proposed to evaluate the overall electromagnetic compatibility of a system consisting of numerous communication devices.Jamming-to-signal power ratio,a concept of electronic warfare,for defining,estimating and quantifying the sensitive device's electromagnetic compatibility,which is the basis of the overall system electromagnetic compatibility.Thirdly,a method is proposed to optimize the overall electromagnetic compatibility of the system.Sensitive devices are taken as objects of study and interferences they receive are divided into two categories-co-channel interference and interferences leading to spurious response.The former is countered by devices' location optimization based on the multi-objective genetic algorithm and the latter is countered by adjusting other electromagnetic parameters.Fourthly,a special fitness function and genetic operators are designed to make the multi-objective genetic algorithm an appropriate solution for devices' location optimization.Fifthly,based on an intensive study on relevant standards in GJB 151B-2013,methods are designed to test susceptibility threshold below which the sensitive devices are working correctly and therefore safe from spurious response.A program is developed using the devices' location optimization algorithm and tested to verify its efficiency.The results show that it efficiently reduces the co-channel interferencesreceived by sensitive devices from jamming devices by optimizing the devices' location while maintaining original design of devices' parameters.Additionally,residual co-channel interference and spurious response can be removed by improving other electromagnetic compatibility parameters.In summary,our overall goal was achieved by quantifying the relationship among electromagnetic compatibility parameters' change in the restraint scheme and the change of communication devices' electromagnetic compatibility.
