With the advent of the age of EEDI,ship design has not only meet around the design conditions,people try to find a comprehensive working condition which will take the navigational state,loading and wind conditions into consideration,or a comprehensive design which will promise good conditions for navigation and fine flow field environment for propellers.Meanwhile,it is under a completely free state when a real ship sailing,fixed freedom state has a great influence on the navigation of the ship posture,and the research before often use fixed models to simplify the simulation,so it is necessary to simulate and analysis the research starting from real ship sailing state.In addition,with the change of the working condition,the ship's hydrodynamic performance will change obviously.The research emphasis has changed: it is not the ship resistance values or wake fraction,but turned to the detail flow field changes which is caused by the significant change,so people would analysis macroscopic resistance and wake fraction changes by detail flow field.This article has made numerical prediction and PIV experiment research for a standard ship 3600 TEU container ship KCS(KRISO)naked hull flow field and the stern wake flow field under different working conditions by using the computational fluid dynamics method and underwater PIV measurement,the working conditions include the design condition,non-design condition,wave state(PIV test only)and open freedom state.PIV test contains the macroscopic resistance,motion response,and wake flow field measurement.This paper has compared the resistance changes,wake flow field differences,PIV test results under different working conditions to illustrate the ship's hydrodynamic performance,then it has analyzed the influence of changing working conditions to ship performance accordingly.This paper has carried on the flow field in detail,including the macroscopic resistance,heave and pitch motion response,free surface wave,hull VOF distribution,hull lines,stern wake field,turbulent vortex structure and so on emphatically.Chapter 2 and 3 focus on the fine flow field under different working conditions by PIV measurement;Chapter 4 has carried on flow field CFD analysis of the ship under non-design conditions.Compared with international experimental value,it has proved the accuracy of the calculation method,then it has analyzed the differences of ship's hydrodynamic performance under the design condition and non-design condition.Chapter 5 has carried on experiment research about ship resistance and motion response under open freedom state.What's more,this paper has run a flow field simulation with the application of Overset technology and DFBI model under open freedom state,and the experimental results coincide exactly with the simulated results.At last,this article has analyzed the flow field details between open freedom state and fixed freedom state in a systematic way.
