With the development of ship intelligence, ship intelligent systems play an increasingly important role in navigation. To achieve autonomous navigation in complex environmental conditions, intelligent systems need a large amount of experience data to control the main engine.Establish a simulation model of the intelligent ship main engine in a real ship environment to study the influence of changes in navigation conditions on the operating state of the main engine, provide a theoretical basis for the analysis and decision-making of the intelligent ship’s system in complex sea conditions, and ensure the safe operation of the main engine and the ship.In this paper, based on the principle of low-speed engine modeling, the main engine volume method model of the super large tanker intelligent demonstration ship in the "smart ship 1.0" research and development project is established in MATLAB/Simulink,including the cylinder working process, intake and exhaust systems, turbocharging systems, and intercooling And hydraulically driven exhaust valve model.Comparing the simulation results of the four steady-state operating conditions under the propulsion characteristics with the test-run experimental values,it is proved that the established steady-state simulation model of the main engine has a certain accuracy. This article introduces the test run experiment of the smart ship main engine, including the design of the experiment scheme, the experiment process and some experimental results, with emphasis on the test and processing process of the cylinder pressure curve. The items included in the ship sea trial test are introduced, the preliminary arrangement and secondary screening process of the smart ship sea trial test data are designed, and an example is given to illustrate the correctness of the data processing plan.Comparing the operating conditions of the main engine in the trial run experiment and the sea trial test, the reasons for the differences in the performance of the main engine in the two trials were qualitatively analyzed from the three aspects of ship operation reserves, environmental parameters and main engine output balance.Based on the steady-state model of the main engine of the smart ship,a dynamic simulation model of the main engine including load, shaft rotation balance and governor is established. The environmental parameters were revised using the sea trial data, the ship operation reserve module was added, and a section of the main engine acceleration process data in the sea trial test was selected to verify the model. On this basis,9 sets of simulation experiments with gradually deteriorating ship sailing conditions were designed to study the effects of fouling, wind, waves, environmental factors and other conditions on the performance of the main engine during acceleration. The research work in this paper has important reference value for the setting of the main engine control program of the ship’s intelligent system in the complex environment and the crew’s manipulation of the ship in the complex environment.
