Air conditioning of high-speed train must take into account effects of airflow, air pressure, shock and vibration and other factors,so there are special requirements of structure for the air conditioning unit, installation, and control system etc.In order to achieve the requirements of air-conditioning unit for high-speed train, this paper calculated the heat load based on the train operating environment and determined the cooling capacity of air conditioning unit and supply air volume.According to the cooling capacity, the appropriate compressor was selected and the matching calculation of the refrigeration system was carried out with Refsim software. The size and relevant parameters of the evaporator and condenser of the air conditioning unit were determined, and the condensing air volume was established to develop the axial Fan.Ansys software was used to analyze the strength of the air conditioning unit housing to ensure that the housing was designed to meet the requirements of strength shock and vibration. At the same time we developed control system of air conditioning unit based on the existing air configuration and operating environment, and optimizing the unit temperature control logic to improve the comfort of the car.And then, the relevant tests were carried out after the development. The cooling capacity, the refrigerant charge and the cooling capacity under different cooling air volume and the cooling capacity after the vibration and impact test were tested. The cooling performance of air conditioning unit and structural strength of the housing were validated by the tests, they can meet the requirements of vehicles for the service.
