As we know,oil and other fossil resources drying up,the energy problem is imminent,some form of energy will be consumed within a short period of time.The oil consumption of the ship is huge,but its efficiency and energy efficiency is low,burning with low quality oil on the high seas so as to serious emissions of pollution.From the point of shipping companies concerned about the interests,there are many factors which affect shipping revenue under different market conditions,mainstream ship type of the cost of fuel is 50%of the total operating cost,some old ship types even exceed 60%,moreover,the fuel consumption and operating income of ships are closely related to the speed.Therefore,ship speed should be optimized,whether from the angle of energy saving,environmental protection or operation economy.In this paper,48000DWT tanker,82000DWT bulk carrier and 4250TEU container ship are taken as the research objects.The simulation system for ship main engine fuel consumption is built through Matlab/Simulink software,that is modular and suitable for a variety of type of ships.It mainly includes:resistance module of static water,resistance module for wind and wave and calculation module for fuel consumption.At the same time,the program uses the M language to achieve rapid switching of ship parameters.It is established that ship speed optimization model considering the influence of the wind and waves,based on interior point penalty function method,aims at the lowest fuel consumption for each voyage host.The simulation system for calculating the increase in revenue is established considering the influencing factors of marketization,to analyze the impact of market conditions on the operating profit of the ship,on the basis of fuel consumption simulation system.And two schemes are proposed to optimize the speed of each segment to the maximum increase in revenue per voyage.The results show that calculation error of resistance module for static water is not more than 5%,calculation results of resistance module for wind and wave are correct,the simulation system is accuracy.The effect of speed optimization is affected by route and wind and waves.When the wind direction is the same,the increase in fuel consumption increases as the increases of wind scale.And fuel consumption is nearly doubled when wind scale increase one level,the growth trend is close to the exponential.When the wind scale is the same,wind direction on the impact of fuel consumption from large to small are Head,Bow,Beam and Following.This simulation system can accurately calculate the fuel consumption per ship's voyage,it can provide decision support for route planning.The optimal increase in revenue for scheme 2 is always greater than the one for scheme 1.The impact on different ship types is different in different market conditions,blind deceleration may cause losses.In the recent market conditions,with the decrease in speed,the increase in revenue of 4800DWT tanker and 82000DWT bulk carrier increased first and then decreased,approximating parabolic form.The increase in revenue are maximum when the speed is reduced by 14%and 34%,respectively,they are about $26000 and $53000.The revenue of 4250TEU container ship increase with the decrease of speed,when speed down to a minimum speed,for 15.5 kn,profit is the largest,for $274,000.
