The rapid development of inland shipping, inland waterway transport ship design and construction of a higher demand. the research of Ship configuration, the most effective and reliable way for explore the ship of the various factors is ship model testing. The ship performance is an important part of the construction process and ship design and the correcting methods for wake fraction scale effect is the most important essential to ship's speed forecasting.Score on the determination with the wake fraction scale effect, ITTC provided a lot of that approach, all ship design research units have also done a lot to explore and made many effective methods. Although these methods apply to single- propeller boat, there are many problems in incalculation when the formula has apply on the full form ships, river boat and the twin-propeller ship. Current research shows that the correcting methods for wake fraction scale effect has been not been solved. Usually use the more experience way, or the recommended method of 15th session of the International Towing Tank Conference extended to twin-propeller ship. Therefore, the search for a suitable correcting methods for wake fraction scale effect of river twin-propeller ship will be extremely helpful to improve twin-propeller ship performance.This paper currently in the field need to address the issue, mainly in the following aspects:1. discussed the potential wake's proportion of the total wake and the potential wake's regularities on the propeller disk. the potential wake's proportion of the total wake for twin-propeller ship is not remarkable and it is not available to predict the twin-propeller ship's properties with the calculation method available for the single propeller ship. 2. Through the use of two-dimensional and three dimensional algorithm for twin-propeller ship, discuss the form gene K when use the three dimensional algorithm in the calculation of the whole doctrine shape effective power of twin-propeller ship.3. Concluded several commonly used correcting methods for wake fraction scale effect of river twin-propeller ship.On the ship model collection to the experimental data were calculated. The forecast results were compared to the ship trials data to determine the appropriate method for wake fraction scale effect of river twin-propeller ship.
