Diesel engine is a kind of time-varying and nonlinear system,as the change of speed or load,system parameters will change in a large scale.Under the condition that engine paramaters remain unchanged,proper control effests can be abtained by using traditional PID controller,but when the engine paramaters show time-varying and nonlinear traits,the control results become unacceptable.Predictive controller is a kind of nonlinear predictive control algorithm,which is widely used in industrial control field.With the help of the predictive algorithm,control parameters can be adjusted immediately as the parameters of engine system changing.This paper proposed a kind of engine speed control scheme which is basedon predictive control algorithm,and theoretical derivation,simulation analysis and experiment research were included in the research process.The system model parameters aere got by the least squares identification algorithm,controller parameters are botained by the genetic algorithm.Compared with the results between PID controller simulation and predictive controller simulation,it shows that the predictive controller is better than the PID controller.Then ControlBase_ET automatic code generation tool is used to set up speed control strategy.The compiling C code can run on MPC5554 micro controller,and the confirmatory experiments are carried on a cummins high pressure common rail engine...
