In our country, reverse osmosis is the most common used method for marine sea water desalination. However, with this method, the electric conductivity of output water can not up to standard and the water yeild is not enough when ships sailing on a high temperature sae area.To solve those issues, the marine reverse osmosis system was redesigned and its regular operation pattern was researched, results of the experiments was used to demarcate the performance and helped to decide measures of improvement.Firstly, stability testing was conducted to investigate the stability of reverse osmosis water production. Then, condition experiments which focus on output water temperature,TDS and operation pressure were conducted for equipment calibration.According to the results of the experiments,TDS-pressure operation zone map at different temperature was drawn as the calibration method of reverse osmosis.Reverse osmosis improvements were proposed:Mode of system operation could be improved with TDS-pressure operation zone map;replacing membrane with new type of higher desalination rate or change the arrangement of to improve the performance of the system;for the presence of high temperature and high TDS intake water, the second stage of reverse osmosis could be used for water depth treatment.
