Traveling has always been a basic need of everyone and is still an important need.For daily routines such as commuting,going to school and other short trips,many means of transportation such as bikes,buses,subways,taxies or cars are available to choose.With the development of society and the improvement of people’s standard of living,people prefer to travel by their own cars.The costs of this kind of convenience are terrible traffic and environmental pollution.Therefore taking public transit is more advocated.With the popularization and development of smartphones and mobile Internet,mobile applications have greatly improved our lives in all aspects.In this topic,the intelligent bus system "Dengchelai" combines public transit with mobile Internet to serve users with real-time bus location information,which enhanced the user’s travel experience.Based on this system,this thesis extends the system "Dengchelai" with a participatory sensing based on geographic location service scheme.When the real-time data sources of bus lines system fails,the data provided by the participatory sensing scheme can be provided as candidate data source.This thesis also tries to retain more users by improving the intelligent bus system"Dengchelai".The more user we have,the more chance of getting data we will have.In this thesis,the related background technology is introduced.Then the requirements of the system is given,and a scheme of participatory sensing which fits in this system is given.The requirements analysis,summary design,particular design,and algorithms of this scheme are introduced in the view point of the Android App and the server.Then the system functional testing is introduced.Finally is the summary of the main work content and the outlook of the further research.
