The Research On Heritage Protection And Reconstruction Of Qingguo Alley Historic District In Changzhou

The problems of how to preserve and transform the historic and cultural districts,to protect the characteristic of vernacular residential architecture,to conserve the form and the spatial memory and to balance the relationship between protection and development are of great interest in urban planning.At the meanwhile,the effect on city modernization should be diminished and the poor protection of urban heritages should be taken into consideration.The abovementioned problems are also the main focus of the paper.There are a mass of historical architecture relics and nonphysical cultural heritages in Changzhou city.The Qingguo Alley historical district is the most complete block which preserves traditional spatial pattern and historical features.It is necessary to protect the Qingguo Alley historical district including the historical cultural heritage,the styles and features and the place spirit.The healthy development of urban space can be achieved by combining all the beneficial resources so that the harmonious development of society can be promoted.In the paper,the protection and transformation of Qingguo Alley historical district are analyzed,with emphases on specific schemes and corresponding values.The contents of the paper are organized as follows.Firstly,the relevant theory,development process and domestic transformation case of historical cultural streets in cities are analyzed.The general theory and mode of transforming historical cultural streets in different cities and development styles are summarized.Secondly,current situation of transforming the Qingguo Alley historical district is investigated.On the basis of analyzing the background of transformation and current situation,analyses on the feasibility and advantages of current transforming scheme are carried out and further advice on the transformation as well as development are proposed.Finally,conclusions on how to preserve and transform historical cultural heritages of city districts are given and the corresponding outlook is put forward.
