Recent years China has strongly developed foundation fabrication construction,meanwhile there provides big market for construction machine gradually also.Because hydraulic excavator has both feature of digging and transportation,it becomes the main bone product in construction machine market instead of wheel loader.But most main hydraulic components are from abroad manufactures in Hydraulic excavator,so it always costs high,moreover,many machine clients have adopted finance lease to push selling in domestic market,in this way customers will pay the machine by installment buying.In order to secure selling from financial risk and guarantee monitoring machine running information,GPS technology integrated in Hydraulic excavator electric system becomes one of the essential marketing measures.This article mainly describes GPS/GPRS remote communication technology application in Hydraulic excavator electric system,and focus on introducing the technology of data transportation between machine ECU and GPS terminal and remote lock machine via RS232 serial communication circuit.The working flow mentioned as below: First excavator ECU always collects machine real-time running parameter,such as engine working hour,cooling water temperature,engine oil pressure,tacho meter,engine fuel level,hydraulic pump oil pressure,hydraulic oil temperature,hydraulic oil lever,ect.Then GPS terminal receives running parameter of hydraulic excavator through RS232 serial communication circuit,send these data to mobile carrier base station including machine location information in a fixed interval via SMS or data stream with GPRS module.Next respective mobile carrier send these data to GPS monitoring website through wiring network.In the end these data will be resolved and displayed on screen basis on the communication protocol,later on customers will see real-time machine running and location information.If GPS terminal receives lock order code from GPS management software,it will send this code to the ECU of Hydraulic excavator,then ECU will shutdown engine when it detects engine speed reaches zero,finally realize the function of GPS remote disable.And they will firstly find shaking code as defined in communication protocol via RS232 serial communication circuit between machine ECU and GPS terminal,if one side doesn't receive the shaking code from each other,it will come out this conclusion of communication failure,meanwhile machine ECU will shutdown engine also,in this way it will prevent GPS terminal departed from Hydraulic excavator electric system.
