Cable is widely used in urban power grid and the lack of cable maintenance measures,make the cable line fault test become the important factors that affect urban distribution network power supply reliability.Low voltage pulse method because the test is convenient,widely used in low resistance test cable fault;For high impedance fault,although the test method variety,but each method has its own disadvantages,multiple pulse method in the traditional high impedance fault test method,makes it more difficult to solve the problem of high impedance fault waveform fundamentally solved,any complex high resistance waveform can be transformed to very familiar and easy to identify the fault of low pressure impulse waveform.Therefore,developing a have a combination of low voltage pulse method and multiple pulse method of cable fault location device is of great significance.Article first for current situation of the development of cable and cable fault testing device is analyzed,by comparing a variety of testing methods,it is concluded that under the high impedance fault,traveling wave method in the multiple pulse method is relatively high voltage flashover method can simplify the fault waveform,relative secondary pulse method can improve the fault click wear fault waveform sampling instant success rate,reduce the operation difficulty and equipment advantages,such as weight,making this article expectations: designed with low voltage pulse method and multiple pulse method,pulse width adjustable,decreased to 0.5 m test blind area,a resolution of 0.1 m of cable fault location device is.Second,related knowledge of cable and cable faults are introduced,the equivalent modeling of cable,lead to the traveling wave ranging principle.Then,the paper analyzes the pulse selection of pulse reflection method test results,the influence of the device hardware and software design are provided,this paper introduces the hardware configuration design of pulse,pulse time delay and pulse amplitude amplification,pulse receiver,data acquisition and processing,liquid crystal display and control section,the design method of the final goal,design failure due to a device.Finally,through simulation and implementation of the known fault cable fault device of low voltage pulse method and the feasibility of the method of pulse test for many times,to the same high impedance fault,using blunt flash method,second pulse method and pulse method comparison test for many times,highlight the advantages of multiple pulse method,and the device is applied in the actual scene,to analyze a failure.This paper briefly introduces the fault cable path identification and accurate positioning.
