With the development of the power system,industries such as power and industrial automation place increasing need on electric power monitoring instrument,meanwhile,the requirement on the functions and performance of the electric power monitoring instrument also keeps increasing.Regarding the needs of the market for electric power monitoring instrument to be small,multifunctional in small sizes online,this paper has designed a multifunctional electric power monitoring instrument based on STM32 chip and ADE7878 electric energy measuring chip,this instrument is small in size,accurate in measurement,multifunctional and stable in performance,full meeting the requirements of the market.First of all,this paper has introduced the research background,current development and tendency of development of electric power monitoring instrument,interpreted the overall design plan of the system meeting the need of the design,later on,this paper specified on the hardware and software design of the instrument,in terms of hardware,principles and realization of power circuit,sample circuit,communication circuit,input and output circuits of the power,display circuits and button circuits,data storage circuits,STM32 chip surrounding circuit,and ADE7878 surrounding circuit are introduced,particularly,the principle and realization of sampling circuits and the anti-interruption design of the hardware circuit are introduced.In terms of software,software design taking FreeRTOS embedding operation system as the core,including the design procedures and ways of realization are also introduced,in addition to the software adjusting the upper monitor of PC,in particular,the principles and means of the specific ways to realize the transplant from FreeRTOS to STM32 as well as the method of instrument calibration are introduced.Finally,this paper illustrates the methods and results of testing the performance and safety as well as the electromagnetic compatibility of electric power monitoring instrument.An analysis is given on the results.Both the testing results and practical application can show that the multifunctional electric power monitoring instrument is in line with the operation requirements and relevant national standards.
