Iron and steel enterprises is a high energy-consuming enterprises,is an indispensable national economic construction industry.Iron and steel industry,electrical equipment has a large capacity,from the brake frequently fast,long working hours and other characteristics,when the equipment is running,the normal operation of the power grid impact,the negative impact on power quality,the grid voltage three-phase imbalance,The power factor of the power grid is low,the line loss increases,the harmonic content is excessive,which seriously affects the power quality of the power system and threatens the safe operation of the power system.In this paper,the iron and steel enterprises for the electricity situation,the production process on the impact of power quality and the current power system in a variety of reactive power compensation devices and compensation methods for analysis and comparison,focusing on the power system of two important dynamic reactive(Statie var Compensator,SVC)and static synchronous compensator(statie synchronous Compensator,SVG)of the working principle and compensation characteristics,combined with the actual situation of Rongning Iron and Steel Company,taking into account the enterprise Of the reactive power compensation requirements,compensation for the operation of the economy and other indicators,the choice of a new static synchronous compensator SVG as a steel production process reactive power compensation.Based on the comprehensive data analysis and calculation,the main working parameters of the SVG compensation device selected in this paper are obtained,which is combined with the production and reactive power compensation of the project.The design of a dynamic compensation based on SVG + FC fixed capacitor joint compensation program,this does not only consider the production of dynamic reactive power compensation needs,but also consider the implementation of reactive power compensation program economy.
