Research On The Design Of Beiling Campus Planning And Architecture Of Northeastern University

Beiling Campus Planning and Architecture of Northeastern University,which belong to the intact modern campus buildings,have distinct characteristic features of that time.Beiling Campus became the fifth group of national level cultural relic’s protection units in 2001.What’s more,it has high historical value and artistic value in the Chinese modern architectural history.In this paper,through the study of Beiling Campus and architectural form,the social politics,economy and the influence of thoughts of architecture on campus planning and architectural form were explored,the regularities such as the planning and architectural design methods,design scale,space organization,function layout,and material utilization were summarized.The research purpose of this paper was as described above,which provided a reference basis for the targeted protection and maintenance.This paper was composed of five chapters,mainly aimed at the study of the Beiling Campus campus planning and architecture,and could be divided into three parts.The first part consisted of the first chapter and the second chapter.In this part,the research meaning,framework and methods of this paper were expounded,the social background and zeitgeist of the development of modern campus building,and the production of architects’ design ideas were outlined,the historical inheritance and construction situation of Northeastern University were briefly introduced,and the external influence on the formation conditions of campus building morphology was illustrated.The second part consisted of the third chapter and the forth chapter.In this part,the space layout and the architectural form classification according to the function were detailly investigated,the campus space layout characteristics were analyzed from macro point of view through the analysis method combined of text and image,the architectural form was discussed from micro point of view through the case analysis of the typical architecture of different types,the building space form,style,function and detail characteristics,technical materials,relevant architects background and related construction agency were specifically analyzed,and campus planning and the characteristics and regularity of architectural form of Beiling Campus under the deep influence of social environment were finally summaried.The third part consisted of the fifth chapter,which was the conclusion of this paper.In this part,the campus planning and architectural regularity,value and influence of Beiling Campus were summarized,and the protection and utilization suggestions were made.
