With the increase of the demand for clean energy, the power of all kinds of electr-ical equipment is gradually increasing. The dc to ac converter is a kind of normal app-liances.when its power reaches megawatt,The amount of heat inside are huge.If to ensure the converter's regular work,we make it need for effective heat dissipation with using a variety of cooling methods, which need to increase the size of the structure.but due to various reasons, the size of the dc to ac converter cabinet is almost required harsh demands,it is difficult to use conventional methods of structural design, and the simulation method for the effective design of the product provides an important way.In this paper, firstly, based on the ANSYS Workbench, the strength analysis of the frame structure of a kind of megawatt class dc to ac converter box is carried out.In order to find the real stress of the dangerous point, two kinds of methods while are the local refinement method and the sub model method are used to analyze the strength of the model. The simulation results show that the sub model method with the premise of ensuring degree of accuracy, computation efficiency is very good;the results also show that the frame has a large safety margin, and can be eased weight to save materials.Secondly, the IGBT module of the dc to ac converter is simulated. The Icepak module of ANSYS Workbench platform is used to analyze the heat dissipation of the dc to ac converter's IGBT module under two different working conditions: wind cooling and wind-water cooling. The results show that the temperature of the IGBT module can not meet the design requirements only by air cooling, while the wind-water cooling provides a reliable way for the cooling of the IGBT.The above research provides an idea for the strength analysis of the dc to ac con converter's frame structure and the heat dissipation analysis of the IGBT in the dc to ac converter. The above methods provide some reference for the design and simulation of similar power products.
