The hydraulic cylinder is an important energy conversion actuator in modern construction machinery.It can convert hydraulic energy into the energy required for the construction machinery.The main movements include reciprocating linear motion and oscillating motion.Most of the construction machinery work environment is very harsh,the working conditions of filter presses,bulldozers,loaders and some tunnel construction machinery are even worse.The hydraulic cylinder piston rod,as the core functional element of construction machinery,assumes the energy-transfer effect of the entire organization.It is the "core" of the entire construction machinery.The failure of the piston rod due to an abnormality causes unpredictable consequences.Therefore,the failure analysis and fatigue life prediction of the live hydraulic cylinder piston rods are particularly important.Based on the joint simulation method of ABAQUS and fe-safe finite element software,this paper illustratedthe static and modal analysis of the hydraulic cylinder piston rod,analyzed the factors affecting the quality of hydraulic cylinders of construction machinery and put forward some measures to improve the quality of hydraulic cylinders.The stress-strength model was described in detail and combined with the stress-strength reliability model to predict the strength of the piston rod.The reasons for the fracture of the piston rod were preliminarily analyzed.Based on the theory of fatigue cumulative damage and the usage of large-scale universal Finite element software ABAQUS and Fe-safe performed joint simulation of the piston rod-earring assembly,this paper analyzed the fatigue life of the piston rod-earring assembly,and obtained the fatigue life calculation results and its lifetime cloud.The research results have certain guiding significance for enterprises to control the use of products at all times,prevent the occurrence of fatigue failures,and evaluate the remaining life of products.
