In 2011,the sixth national census results announced that China officially entered an aging society,and the elderly gradually became the main body of the society.Only by solving the problems of the elderly can the country develop smoothly and healthily,especially in solving social and environmental problems.However,as a derivative of the elderly participating in social environment,it determines whether the elderly can maintain the basic living activities,so it should be the first to meet the social problems of aging.But in view of the aging society in our country’s research and development of public traffic facilities design starts relatively late,the research around this aspect also is not much,lead to the existing public transport facilities cannot be very good to satisfy the life of the elderly and the travel,does not meet the requirements of an aging society.Based on the above,this paper will focus on the present situation of the domestic and foreign existing public transport facilities design,and the elderly psychological and physiological characteristics,trip characteristics,combined with ergonomics,put forward to improve the public transport facilities design scheme,which attempts to summarize the aging society design principles and methods of public transport facilities design.This article will be divided into seven chapters.The first chapter is the introduction,which mainly summarizes the research background,purpose and significance.The second chapter is the research situation at home and abroad.It analyzes the research on the aged public transport facilities in the United States,Japan and other developed countries and China,trying to learn and learn from it.The third chapter is the cognition of the elderly,from the basic characteristics and needs of the elderly to study,and through interviews with the elderly to understand the way of the elderly travel and their use of public transport facilities and satisfaction.The fourth chapter specifically studies the public transport facilities.The fifth chapter combines the two to four chapters to put forward the author’s viewpoint on the pain points of public transport facilities in aging society.The sixth chapter,design practice,designed a bus platform.The seventh chapter,summarize the prospect.
