In order to reduce energy consumption,protect environment and reduce production cost,power plants must be retrofit for energy saving.Under the trend of national energy saving and emission reduction,it is also necessary to study,analyze and selection power plant transformation projects by value engineering and engineering economics.For the power plants that need to be transformed,due to the long construction period and the large investment amount,and the high technical requirements of the renovation project,so we should be more careful when make the selection.This paper applies the theory of value engineering and Engineering economics in the selection of project,taking the energy saving renovation project of a thermal power plant in baotou as an example,in the process of project selection,first of all the various alternatives are the economic evaluation of the project,determined the project is feasible or not before the construction of.At the same time,make the analysis of the recovery of funds after the project construction conditions,that is the net present value,dynamic investment recovery period and other index factors were analyzed and calculated,preliminarily determines the economic feasibility of the project plan.Then the remaining programs were carried out functional analysis,determine the weight function factors by(AHP),and gradually calculate the value coefficient,and then choose the optimal value of the project--economizer transformation scheme.At the end of the artical the sensitivity analysis of the economizer transformation plan is carried out.and this paper reveals that the total investment amount of the project is the biggest factor affecting the project net present value in terms of the industrial water price,the total investment of the project and the coal price of the power plant.In the demonstration of the project,the article not only considered the problem of recycling investment,but also considered the problem of reducing harmful gas emissions,and also met the goal of achieving all major functions of the project at the lowest cost within the entire life cycle.This paper provides a reference for selection of transformation project of similar thermal power plant transformation in the future This paper opens up the scope of application of relevant theories,enhances the practicability of the theory,and has certain practical and theoretical significance.
