The electromagnetics liquid cooling retarder is a new kind of auxiliary braking device which works based on the principle of eddy current,and using the recycle engine coolant to realize heat dissipation.It provide necessary and effective guarantees for vehicle in process of driving.This paper aims to develop a type of intelligent control unit which applies to this kind of retarder.The research contents of each chapter are as follows:The chapter 1 summarizes technical background and related regulations of vehicle retarder,introduces structural composition and control method of classic eddy current retarder,summarizes research situation of control unit for eddy current retarder,puts forward main research contents and technology route according to technical difficulties to be solved.The chapter 2 expounds mechanical structure and working principle of the electromagnetic liquid cooling retarder with embedded rotor,does further numerical calculation for braking process and braking torque,combines with analysis results of simulated experiment data,proposes control method and working limit conditions of control unit.The chapter 3 puts forward a kind of cruise control algorithm by recombining traditional incremental PID algorithm and Cerebellar Model Articulation Controller algorithm,does numerical simulated analysis and programme after clear basic principle of this combined algorithm.The chapter 4 realizes the communication node of control unit embeds in CAN bus network based on SAE J1939 protocol,briefly explains the contents of SAE J1939 protocol,and concludes messages which related with retarder's control unit,does functional test for data communication module based on simulated platform.The chapter 5 designs hardware circuit of control unit,devides functional modules according to functional requirements,includes core control module,driver module,gear control module,data communication module,power supply module,completes core components selection,finishes printed circuit board drawing,and tests electromagnetic compatibility of this control board.The chapter 6 sets up the system on programmable chip of control unit,devides functional modules according to functional requirements,includes gear control module,data communication module,Pulse Width Modulation module,control algorithm module,NIOS II processor,de scribes building process of each functional module and design steps of system integration.The chapter 7 writes software program of control unit,devides functional modules according to functional requirements,includes gear control module,power output module,data communication module,cruise control module,operational monitoring module,describes functional explanation and operational process of each module,according to these guidance completes system program.Finally,the dissertation conclusion and future research outlook are proposed.
