Permanent magnet brushless motors are new type of electromechanical motors which different from traditional DC motors.The development of permanent magnet brushless motors is affected by many factors.Permanent magnet brushless motors have breakthrough changes with advent and upgrade of permanent magnetic materials and the development of electric power technology.Similarly,with the rapid development of micro-electronics and automatic control technology,the permanent magnet brushless motors are moving toward a new direction of renovating and developing.There are different kinds of controllers for different types of permanent magnet brushless motors.In this paper,a new controller is designed to complete the control of permanent magnet brushless motor for electric tricycles.The controller is different from the traditional controller.It can improve the stability of system and utilization coefficient of DC voltage.And the same time,it can restrain the torque ripple and reduce sound pollution.In this paper,mathematical model is build and equation in different coordinate systems is introduced for the system structure of the permanent magnet brushless motors.It reveals merits and faults by comparative analysis several control modes,and select FOC as control mode with parameters and environment of the motor.The contol mode of FOC is deduced.It introduces characteristics,manner and theoretical basis of FOC,and puts forward implementation method.Simulating experiment for the SVPWM is carried through with the stator flux-oriented vector strategy by MATLAB simulations.The paper presents the derivation of engineering design methods in the speed regulation system of speed and current double closed loop in details.The speed loop uses the fuzzy PI control and the current loop uses the normal PI control.It searchs the optimal parameters of controller with simulation and verification of MATLAB.Due to the limitation of the controller design cost,a low-cost method is selected to detect the rotor's position with the Hall sensors.Based on the STM32 series chips,it designs the whole hardware circuit of the controller by Altium Designer10.The PCB board is available.The design and development of the whole system software are carried out on the software platform of Keil ?Vision5,which completes the construction of various functional modules.And the construction of various functional modules are was completed by it.At the last,it validates the practicability and effectiveness of the controller of permanent magnet brushless motor based on vector control by a lot of experiments.The controller can realize the design requirements and meet the original function needs basically.
