With the rapid development of wireless communication technology,sensor technology,embedded technology,the wireless measurement technology has become matured.It is broadly applied in various fields such as industry,agriculture,transport,transportation and so on.This paper concerns in the area of bridge diagnosis.Bridges,as the throat of modern transport,plays a very important role.However,the occasionally bridge accidents alarmed us to pay attention on the importance of health diagnosis.Since the 1950 s,western countries began giving research to bridge health monitoring.Up until now,the bridge health monitoring has transited from the artificial,static measurement to automatic,real-time dynamic measurement which plays big part in bridge structure damage detection and quantification and the early warning of bridge disaster.According to real use and the latest technology,this paper was designed a wireless bridge health diagnosis system which is consist of sensors logger detection network,a movable transfer station and a monitoring center.Compared to traditional technology used in wireless sensor,WiFi has a fast transfer rate,is convenient to form a network.Therefore,this article selected WiFi in the wireless measurement system.This paper focuses on design and implementation of a movable transfer station,using sophisticated WiFi technology and embedded technology to achieve wireless transmission of the detected data.Design of movable transfer station further reduces the complexity of building a measurement system in the field of bridges and achieves a seamless connection with the acquisition sensor detect network and service monitoring center in two different wireless network.This paper first introduces the development situation and prospects of wireless measurement system and several short-range wireless communication technologies are compared.According to the current wireless sensor network short comings,putting forward a wireless measurement system based on WiFi.By studying the WiFi network technology,designs the overall structure of wireless measurement system.It introduces the detailed of the hardware and software structure of movable transfer station.Transplant embedded Linux operating system in an ARM-based hardware platform,and design Linux USB driver to fit in the main hardware platform.By transplanting WiFi wireless network card driver,implement wireless communications.In this paper,the socket communication technology is introduced and designed a Wireless sensor network client and server software program.Aiming at the two performance parameters of the wireless transmission distance and wireless transmission rate a lot of experiments,experimental results concluded that the entire WiFi wireless sensor network functions well,stable and the transmission rate meet the application requirements.
