| As one of the fastest growing areas of social and economic development,economic and trade exchanges have become increasingly frequent between Beijing,Tianjin and Hebei region,and the regional status has become increasingly prominent.In 2014,the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei cooperation developed into a national strategy,and the traffic integration became the first area of the coordinated development.The traffic sign is an important part of the road infrastructure,which play an important role for the drivers in the search and confirmation of the destination.However,due to the large differences layout and information amount of traffic signs in three places,the driver’s driving confusion will increased,which cannot play an effective function for the growing interregional exchange.This research based on the optimization design of guide signs by linked in Beijing,Tianjin,Hebei,Baoding,Tangshan,Shijiazhuang and Qinhuangdao.theoretical analysis and experimental study were combined to conduct a unified study of the intersection signs in Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region.This paper mainly carried out the following three studies:(1)The research of intersection signs optimization based on driver’s understanding.According to the layout of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region,the logo area is divided into four functional areas,namely,the front road area,the left road area,the right road area and the central area;According to the complexity of the road network,the intersection signs will be divided into simple road network level intersection signs and complex road network level intersection signs.According to the driver ’s understanding data,the simple road network and the complex road network under the understanding of the optimal level of intersection signs.(2)The Study on the Characteristics of Drivers’ VisualizationThe E-prime experiment platform was used to observe the sign of the traffic signal and the visualization.According to the driver’s visual identity characteristics,the largest road number of the road name area in the simple road network intersection signs is the four;the largest road number of the road name area in the complex road network intersection signs is the three;When the driver sees the sign,the order is generally the front road area,the left road area,the right road area,the central graphics area.(3)The research of intersection signs optimization based on Drivers’ Visualization.According to the visual model,the design principle of the intersection sign is given by the simple road network and the complex road network and the simple principle is given.What is more,the recommended intersection signs’ form of simple road network and complex road network is given.This study reveals the feedback mechanism of the logo layout information to the driver,provides the theoretical basis and technical reserve for the revision of the relevant standards such as marking transformation and optimization,and further improves the safety level and operational efficiency of the traffic system in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region. |
