Penetration refers to the warhead drilling or passing through objects.It depends on the shape,speed,penetration angle of warhead and the property and thickness of the object that determines whether the warhead can pass through or not.The study of the same shape warheads with different speeds and penetration angles penetrating different objects with different thicknesses can be an effective guiding meaning to research on the protection of armored vehicles.With the rapid development of computer technology and the maturity of penetration value theory,the finite element method for the same shape warheads with different speeds and penetration angles penetrating different objects with different thicknesses has become an important approach of the study of penetration.This paper uses ANSYS finite element software to model,mesh and generate K files,then employs AUTODYN finite element software to read the files,assign properties of different materials,initial conditions and boundary conditions.With the simulation,the penetration damage results are obtained,so as remaining velocity and kinetic energy of different materials through the AUTODYN software.Then we can use the data to draw figures and conduct comparative analysis.The main contents include:(1)This paper established an oval bullet model,Q235 steel and Al 5A06 aluminum alloy targets models with different thickness upon request;assigned different intrusion velocity and penetration angles to the oval bullet and then carried out the finite element numerical simulation;finally,this paper analyzed the simulation results,and obtained the function expression between the residual velocity of the bullet and the intrusion velocity,angle of warhead and the target thickness.This results can be a certain reference value for future project.(2)According to the requirement of AUTODYN,this paper did the analog verification about the bulletproof performance of 30mm-thickness bulletproof glass.It was established that several bulletproof glass models with the thickness of 30 mm and simulated single oval bullet with different intrusion velocities and angles.Then this paper simulated three oval bullets with the same intrusion velocity and angle(90o)invading bulletproof glass and compared with the results of experiments.Finally,the data is analyzed and some relevant conclusions are obtained.
