Bellows expansion joints are widely used in modern network as compensators of displacement caused by thermal expansion and contraction and mechanical vibration.Expansion joints can only be put into the use after being qualified through performance test.The performance testing equipment of expansion joint is key to ensure safety.Flexible test control system is core of the testing equipment to work effectively.A set of equipment has been built to meet the expansion joint performance test,which has an important practical significance to fill the gaps of the domestic inspection equipment and improve the intelligence level.There exist problems in the domestic performance testing equipment of expansion joint,such as narrow using scope,heavy weight,mostly depending on manual operation,big labor intensity and low automatic degree.Therefore,a new type of equipment with control system testing samples in different specifications was studied.It can also realize two expansion joints' testing at the same time.The main work is presented as follows:Firstly,domestic and international development trend on designing and manufacturing criteria of bellows expansion joint at home and abroad were studied.Requirements and testing methods of testing equipments were analyzed.According to users' requirements,overall design of expansion joint performance test was put forward,and modeling of mechanical part and project design of the control part were completed.Secondly,modeling of the mechanical equipment was finished by SolidWorks.The specimen,slipper,rotating platform,driving connecting plate flange clamp,test driving and loading mechanisms and other parts were mainly completed.ANSYS was used to simulate the stress and strain of the actual testing samples to prevent the serious consequences of water splashing out caused by large stress and fracture in test.Finally,the two-stage control system was designed which was integrated with upper and the lower computer.The upper was installed with WinCC,and the lower was configured with PLC(Siemens series S7-200 CPU226).Key testing parameters were gathered through the real-time communication between the upper and lower computer.Testing process was monitored to ensure the test's security and data's precision.Thus,this equipment realize the whole efficient and intelligent control.
