Voltage is an important criterion to determine power quality in power system.In all aspects of power production,such as stable operation of power grid,line loss reduction,supply of industrial and agricultural production,residential electricity,the quality of voltage bears an important task.At the same time,how to improve the voltage quality of the receiving end grid voltage stability control strategy is also a key issue that has been studied and discussed for a long time.Therefore,in this paper,according to the actual case of zhanjiang power grid,Outlines several ways the increase reactive power compensation,and analyzes the way of comparing the advantages and disadvantages,finally choose installed on substation 220 kv lateral load of 110 kv shunt capacitors.Parallel capacitor group after the feasibility study,design and type selection,control system design and implementation of the work,to improve power grid to the practical analysis of 110 kv parallel capacitor compensation ability,reduce the loss of transformer itself positive effect.Paper based on EMTP data variation correction method,with actual substation data simulation optimization respectively before the present situation of reactive power compensation in zhanjiang area,the optimized zhanjiang area reactive compensation effect.By comparing the analysis and study on the substation 220 kv lateral load installed 110 kv for feasibility of parallel capacitor,significantly increase the accuracy and effectiveness of reactive power optimization control,good results have been achieved.
